As State's Attorney for Kidder County (and Sheridan County beginning January 2011) as well as City Attorney for Steele, I handle numerous criminal prosecutions, tax and zoning issues, and a wide variety of local government issues.

As a business attorney, I serve as outside counsel for a variety of small and medium sized businesses. Services including drafting and negotiation of contracts and licenses, counseling on employment matters, and advising on creating and structuring business ventures.

Although I started out as a patent litigator, I have moved to focus on prosecuting patent applications. The years I spent in litigation gives me a great perspective on how to draft strong patent applications to survive an eventual test in court.

In addition to my patent work, I also assist entrepreneurs and businesses with trademark applications to protect their brand as they grow.
