Lane Cory Thompson

Attorney Lane C. Thompson is the founder and sole partner at Circling Eagle Law. He focuses his practice in various areas of the law, primarily corporate and business law, transactional drafting, and policy reforms. Lane has extensive experience working with tribal governments and state shareholders. As an undergraduate, he was a key member of the MHA Road’s Taskforce.
While in law school, Lane served as a prosecutor at the Three Affiliated Tribes. In this role, he handled arraignments, plea bargains, motions, trials, and sentencing recommendations. He also interned in the legal department of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Las Vegas during his final year of law school, an experience that strengthened his transactional drafting skills. Today, Lane serves as an independent, on-demand attorney for the Three Affiliated Tribes and as a special attorney with the child support programs of the Red Lake and White Earth Nations.
