Naples Italy Navy Court Martial for Sexual Assault
Sep 03, 2015OUTCOME: NOT GUILTY OF ALL CHARGES.
Navy E-5 –Naval Support Activity Naples, Naples, Italy – Navy sexual assault court martial where our client was accused of three specifications of sexually assaulting against two suppoused victims. He ... faced 60+ years in prison, a dishonorable discharge, and sex offender registration. Our client endured being falsely accused of felonious crimes for roughly 14 months, his security clearance was revoked, his prospects of having a military career ruined; and at one point, had to pick up trash on the command's post as a punitive measure for being simply accused of said crimes -- though, the command will say otherwise. During his pretrial "liberty" restrictions, our client was not allowed to have family or friends over for more than 15 minutes at a time for two months straight. Mr. Waddington and LT Bryan Barletto fought the charges in front of an enlisted jury. With expert collaboration between Mr. Waddington and LT Bryan Barletto, the defense team was able to strategically orchestrate the final "punch" that proved beyond a reasonable doubt the innocence of our client. In his closing argument, Mr. Waddington called out the prosecution’s weak case and dirty tactics… apparently, the jury agreed. With the immense amount of service members present in the courtroom applauding the jury's verdict, it was evident that Mr. Waddington's unsurpassed courtroom experience ultimately toppled the government's feeble attempts at convicting our innocent client by any means necessary.
