Jason Michael Teiken

Mr. Teiken is an Associate Attorney with Frentz and Frentz Law Offices. Mr. Teiken has worked for Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services since January 2014 where he represented clients in Family Law matters including divorce, custody, child support, order for protection, and harassment cases. Mr. Teiken graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN in 2013.  At William Mitchell, Mr. Teiken was a member of the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Team, representing William Mitchell in 2011 and 2012.

During law school, Mr. Teiken earned significant experience in the courtroom by serving as a Law Clerk in the office of the First Judicial District Public Defender in Hastings, MN. Mr. Teiken also participated in the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners (LAMP) Clinic where he contributed over 100 hours of pro bono legal work. Mr. Teiken also clerked with Rasmus Law Office LLC in Minneapolis, MN, where he worked in civil litigation matters including Employment Law, Immigration Law, Wrongful Death, Tort Claims, Collection matters, Bankruptcy, and Legal Malpractice

After graduation and being admitted to the Minnesota Bar, Mr. Teiken began his career with Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS) in Worthington, MN, where he served eligible clients in Nobles, Martin, Jackson, Cottonwood, Rock and Pipestone Counties. Starting in March 2015, Mr. Teiken moved to the SMRLS office in Mankato, MN where he served clients in Blue Earth, Brown, Nicollet, Faribault, Le Sueur, McLeod and Sibley counties.

Mr. Teiken lives in Mankato with his wife, Katherine, and their cat, Winston. Mr. Teiken is involved with the greater Mankato community through United Way Emerging Leaders and the Mankato Symphony Orchestra where he serves on the board and the executive committee.  He enjoys golf, attending concerts, visiting museums and watching the Vikings.
