Raven Alexandria Burnett

Raven Burnett joined Kohlmeyer Hagen in June 2025. She brings a unique blend of courtroom insight, meticulous research skills, and an unwavering commitment to client advocacy. Before entering private practice, Raven served as a judicial law clerk for family court judges in Louisiana and New Jersey, where she drafted decisions on complex matters including child support, custody, and post-divorce motions. This behind-the-bench experience gave her a deep understanding of what courts value in legal arguments and that thorough preparation can make all the difference.

Raven’s path to the law began with a desire to help people navigate challenging moments in their lives. She believes every client should feel comfortable, informed, and confident that their case is in good hands. Whether a case calls for a compassionate guide or a strategic advocate, she adapts her approach to each client’s needs, always aiming to make them feel heard and supported. Her adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to “control the narrative” are among her greatest strengths.

With a background that spans international political economy, financial analysis, and legal advocacy, Raven brings a thoughtful, analytical perspective to her work. She is particularly interested in child support matters. She brings a passion for ensuring fairness and clarity for all parties. She is known for her determination, her ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues. Her philosophy is “always bet on me,” an attitude she brings to each of her cases.

Outside the office, Raven enjoys reading (especially romance novels), listening to jazz, exploring historical podcasts, and unwinding with good food and cocktails. She looks forward to growing her practice in our Rochester office and expanding her advocacy into financial matters in the family law field in the years ahead.
