Carrie Jean Osowski

I knew from an early age that I wanted to practice family law. My parents divorced when I was six, and I experienced firsthand the impact separation can have on a child. Wanting to put that understanding to good use, I set my eyes on a career in the legal field. I attended Winona State University, where she earned Bachelors of Arts in English and History. While in Winona, I fell in love with the southeastern portion of Minnesota. Desiring a law school experience that emphasized justice, community involvement, and personal growth, I chose to attend University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis.

While at the University of St. Thomas, I was the Secretary for the Family Law Society and wrote two essays focusing on family law practices. In order to better reflect the law school’s mission to focus on morality and social justice in her studies, I also participated in the Community Justice Project Clinic as a Certified Student Attorney. 

Following my law school graduation, I moved to Rochester to be closer to my wife and other family members. I regularly volunteer with Wills for Heroes, an organization that drafts estate planning documents for first responders and their spouses. When not at work or volunteering, I enjoy running, gardening, and spending time with my and our dog.
