Ms. Pehowic authored the Appellant and Reply Briefs for a Claimant for Social Security disability benefits who had valid IQ scores below 70 was denied benefits by the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) bec ... ause the ALJ believed that he could disregard the IQ scores since the examining psychologist reported that the Claimant appeared to have more cognitive ability than would be expected with such IQ scores. At issue in the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals was whether the ALJ's decision to disregard those IQ scores was appropriate.
