Doug Thompson is a tribal attorney focused on resolving complex real estate, natural resource management, and environmental matters. "I’ve worked with Doug on several natural resource issues that concern the rights of American Indian tribes to own, manage and use natural resources. Doug has a deep understanding of tribal sovereignty from both a legal and cultural perspective. His fierce sense of justice and fairness informs his legal strategy. His years of experience in dealing with governments, corporations and nonprofit organizations give him unique expertise in representing tribes dealing with such entities. He has a personable approach, but stays the course when challenges arise. I recommend Doug Thompson for legal representation of tribes, particularly on issues where tribal sovereignty and natural resources management intersect. Gail Lewellan, Senior Attorney, The Nature Conservancy"
"I know Doug Thompson from the time he spent as a student at Arizona Law, pursuing an LLM in Indigenous Peoples Law and Policy. His background at the Nature Conservancy gave him a unique perspective on issues, which he shared with faculty and fellow students. He has a depth of knowledge on Indian law and environmental issues that few do. He is also hardworking and extremely conscientious."
