My husband and I had an easy divorce. There were no children and no real estate, vehicles or possessions that we were fighting over. We came up with the equity division by ourselves. My lawyer basically had to write up and file the paper work. I was told this would be done in 2 months, it took 6. I w...as not informed along the way about what was going on at all. I was not notified that I was divorced and found out 2 weeks after by contacting the Court House and asking if they had any idea when the divorce would be finalized.
