By then the two women had exited the disabled vehicle and were standing with a good samaritan 4 to 5 car lengths away when the defendant’s employee struck the disabled vehicle and sent it careening into the two women and the good samaritans. Our client was left unconscious and bleeding at the side of the highway. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and was ultimately diagnosed with a permanent brain injury. State Farm Insurance offered only $5,000 to resolve the case before trial.
