⭐ ONE STAR My experience with attorney Dan Rasmus was profoundly negative. Mr. Rasmus represented the opposing side in a family matter involving my late mother, who was 96 years old and, in my view, a vulnerable adult who had been ABANDONED, NEGLECTED, AND SUBJECTED TO DEEPLY TROUBLING TREATMEN...T during the final years of her life. I raised serious concerns about her care, her isolation, her living conditions, and the handling of her affairs. Rather than engaging meaningfully with those concerns, Mr. Rasmus argued that my mother had been treated appropriately and defended his client’s position against what I believed was substantial evidence to the contrary. What disturbed me most was the apparent lack of concern for the vulnerable elderly person at the center of the case. To me, my mother seemed to disappear behind legal arguments, procedural defenses, and advocacy for the client. I came away from the experience believing that the suffering and neglect I was trying to bring to the court’s attention were minimized rather than seriously confronted. My mother was not a legal abstraction. She was a 96-year-old woman who deserved protection, dignity, attention, and care. Based on my personal experience with Mr. Rasmus and the manner in which my concerns regarding my mother were handled, I would not recommend him.
