Unprofessional

I would not recommend this attorney to anyone. He is very unprofessional and assumes things without talking with you. I received some papers in the mail from his office, that I did not think applied to me and my case. So I called his office to ask why they were being sent to me. (They were job search... forms but yet I'm permanently disabled and cannot work). The next thing I know, I get a letter in the mail from him, stating that he is not going to represent me any further, but with no explaination as to why he was dropping my case. It took me two weeks, of calling his office, to find out why. Apparently, he thought, that I felt, he was incompetent and couldn't do his job properly, because I questioned why the papers were being sent to me! So instead of picking up the phone and asking me why I was asking about the papers, he decides he's just going to drop my case in the middle of it! As your client, I had every right to call and ask questions about my own case and the paperwork you were asking me to fill out. By doing so, I certainly didn't think I would bruise your frail ego! I absolutely would not recommend this man to represent anyone who may have questions, in regard to their own case. For you too, many hurt his feelings or bruise his frail ego and have your case dropped, as well! If I could rate him lower, I would.

Workman's Comp and Disability

Stephen was the first attorney to take a look at our case and give us hope that maybe we could get some compensation for our case of PTSD resulting from our employer. Admittedly, this was a difficult case under Minnesota law (which sadly is way behind other states' laws regardless of it reputation... as a progressive state). But Stephen thought we had an arguable case and agreed to take it giving us hope for the first time. As we proceeded, Stephen was clear and concise in his explanation of the case, its weaknesses and strengths. He outlined different courses of action from which we could choose, and presented our case to the defendants forcefully. During the depositions, he was considerate and aware of our disorder and reassured us we could stop at any time. It is too bad that it took so long for us to get to Stephen. We might have had better options had we found him earlier In fact, we found him one night researching--as last ditch effort--the case on the internet when the law firm popped up. When I went to their site, they had an intake worker who understood our case better than anyone had. After the matter was presented we got a call back from Stephen and things went from there. It took about a year which we understand is not unusual. We cannot recommend him more highly.

Very caring!

Stephen and his assistant, Rhonda, have been very helpful, understanding and caring through this process. The only reason we did not give them 5 stars is because we ultimately lost our case..... I would highly recommend them!

Best Decision

Steve and his staff always made sure to keep me up to date with my case. I was always very comfortable asking any questions I had and was confident that they would respond to me. They did a terrific job and I'm grateful for all their hard work.
