Lack of discovery which was readily available to this man. Yet, he failed to file! I had zero defense at my one chance to be able to fight my case. . Mr. Brausen neglected to file any documents in court that I happened to conveniently supply him with - due to, prior to hiring Mr Brausen, I had ye...t to acquire counsel in my civil housing court case, therefor I did extensive research into law to the best of my ability. He had very little, if anything, to do accept what I had hired him to do; fight for my case in court. Unfortunately, he did not even file a single thing on the required digital website, I happened to send the link to him for that site upon his request. Yet, to no avail. I went into the trial blind folded and without legitimate counsel. I could’ve done better without an attorney actually. I was forced to take a settlement which is detrimental to my welfare and livelihood. Unjust and uncalled for was this man’s irrefutable lack of concern for my wellbeing personally, let alone “tenant’s rights”. I bring this up because his BIO here and elsewhere most definetly contradicts his supposed VIEWS and position on the ST Louis Park city council which the public will hopefully NOT re-elect to have TIM BRAUSEN take that seat. It’s an abomination that he claims to be for “the people”, civil rights, fair housing? When he practices law quite the contrary. In my civil trial housing case, I did not receive one sheet of paper regarding the money I paid for a retainer, fees, etc. No contract. Nothing. I am a disable 60 yr old woman. I knew nothing of the law when it came to attorney/client relationship and expectations there of. Although, now I have learned quite a lot after such an atrocity. This man should not be representing a soul in the courtrooms, let alone the city of ST LOUIS PARK. Or any city for that matter. He is a fraud and a hypocritical opportunist who takes advantage of less fortunate people that believe his lies. Then again, lawyers and politicians? See, there are people like Brausen that spoil the brew for those who are truly GOOD at their craft.
