Paul Steven Hopewell

Paul Hopewell focuses his practice on insurance-related civil litigation in commercial and personal lines matters. This includes litigating claims, providing coverage opinions, as well as advising businesses and insurers on risk-management issues. Mr. Hopewell provides comprehensive legal and business advice to employers, as well as commercial and personal insurers. Paul is a lead member of a commercial transportation emergency response team which supervises, advises and coordinates immediate scene investigations of serious accidents with employees, insurance adjusters, field investigators, accident reconstruction and engineering experts. He has successfully handled numerous civil liability and coverage claims in various automobile-related cases, commercial transportation, landlord-tenant litigation, Dram Shop claims, homeowner insurance issues, Bad-Faith related matters and fraud . Paul has frequently lectured on motor vehicle related topics, which include No-Fault, Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist claims, Bad-Faith, Dram Shop and fraud related issues. Mr. Hopewell has been voted a "Super Lawyer" and "Rising Star" in the Minnesota legal profession by the practicing bar in Minnesota Law & Politics on several occasions and is an AV Rated Attorney according to Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible rating. He is a member of the Minnesota Trucking Association, the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.

Prior to starting law school, Paul was a four year letter winner and two year starter for the University of Minnesota Football Team from 1988-1991. Mr. Hopewell continues to enthusiastically follow his Golden Gophers. Outside the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and cheering on his three girls, Isabelle, Olivia and AvaMarie, in their various sporting and school events.
