I paid her $2,000 up front for my “simple” divorce (her words). She did not explain to me that there would be additional fees so I ended up paying an extra $700 on top of the $2,000. I explained to her from the beginning that my ex would be difficult and do whatever he could to not pay our divorc...e settlement. She promised that she would would get him to pay either by garnishment or small claims. She has failed to do anything. It’s been over a year since I was supposed to be paid in full and over 6 months since she has responded to my emails and texts. She has not fulfilled her job as my attorney.
