Working for the Hennepin County Attorney's Office as a prosecutor of violent felonies (CSCs, DA, homicide) and as a law clerk to judges (Delinquency and Property and Drug felonies) I have developed a well-rounded appreciation for the system.

More than half of our cases involve one form of psychological or physical abuse of children.

Often abuse cases are folded into custody cases. Our focus is child protection and getting parents and children the services they need to navigate DHS actions. Reunification is always the goal.

Juvenile law encompasses both civil child protection and delinquency matters. I have effectively handled the full gamut of cases in this area (ICWA, Adoptions, Felonies, CHIPS and Permanency). Petitions).
