Insurance companies make money by collecting premiums in exchange for their promise to compensate people injured by defective products, negligence, and wrongful conduct. As an insurance prosecutor, Ray makes insurance companies live up to those promises.
Injury victims just want to be treated fairly. Too often, however, insurance companies (and self-insured entities) count on intimidation and victims’ fatigue in order to underpay claims and maximize corporate profits. They inundate victims with forms, questions, and other hurdles, complicating and delaying the claims process until victims are too exhausted to pursue their rights. These companies spread myths about frivolous lawsuits, and unscrupulous plaintiffs’ lawyers, to create stereotypes about people seeking compensation for needless harms and losses. If victims stand their ground and take their cases to trial, these companies hide behind court rules that prevent jurors from knowing insurers’ role in provoking these lawsuits.

But Ray Konz is not discouraged by these tactics. Instead, they motivate Ray to fight even harder for his clients, their families, and the communities in which we live.

Raised by farmers and educators in central Minnesota, Ray has an innate appreciation for hard work and public service.
