Biography
David Wilson and Wilson Law Group represent businesses, families, and individuals throughout the world in business, civil, criminal, family, employment, and immigration law matters. David opened his first law office in 1999 after working as a judicial law clerk and associate for two years. David opened his office to provide clients with honest, sincere, and experienced representation. Wilson Law Group has grown to integrate other practice areas so it can solve all of its clients’ legal concerns. Wilson Law Group endeavors to provide dedicated, friendly, attentive, and thoughtful attorneys and staff to every clients case. While our attorneys have worked for large firms, they have chosen to dedicate themselves to creating an environment that better serves every client and is far less intimidating.
Wilson Law Group is unlike many firms its size - our ratio of attorneys to staff is two attorneys to one staff member. Wilson Law Group understands that clients want to speak and meet with their attorneys, not staff. Wilson Law Group also includes several different nationalities, languages, and academic backgrounds. Wilson Law Group has no hierarchy because all attorneys are responsible for all cases and accountable to all clients.
David is licensed to practice in the State of Minnesota, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court of Minnesota, the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. David attended the University of St. Thomas and then graduated from the William Mitchell College of Law with cum laude honors. David served as the Executive Editor to the William Mitchell Law Review and subsequently served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Roland J. Faricy (ret.) in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
David is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association. David served as the Chair of the Minnesota / Dakotas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2007 to 2008. David also previously served as an adjunct professor at Hamline University School of Law where he co-taught immigration law. He also served an adjunct law professor for the William Mitchell College of Law, teaching Writing Research Advocacy and Presentation from 2003 to 2009, Appellate Advocacy, and William Mitchell College of Law's Immigration Law Clinic. David is a frequent guest speaker on many legal topics in Minnesota and nationally.
David is an attorney of record in many published and unpublished decisions before the federla courts, Minnesota appellate courts, and the Board of Immigration Appeals. David litigates cases before the federal government, federal court system, and Minnesota courts.

The government often does not start its appointments on time or complete them in the amount of time scheduled. Occasionally, we are not able to return to our office as expected despite our best efforts because the government will not release us. We can also fall behind schedule as the day progresses because we try to accommodate individuals who arrive late or have situations that are very complicated. If a delay is going to continue, we ask another attorney to start the meeting if an attorney is available. We sincerely regret that you were asked to wait while we finished helping someone else.
