Jacob James Brodin

Brodin Legal, LLC is owned and operated by its primary attorney Jacob Brodin. As a second generation attorney, Jake understands what it means to be an effective advocate for each of his clients.

Jake grew up in Duluth, Minnesota and attended the College of St. Scholastica with degrees in communication, history and political science. He was awarded his Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Prior to law school, Jake had the opportunity to gain experience in criminal matters while clerking at the Duluth Public Defender’s Office. During law school, Jake served as a Student Attorney for the Legal Rights Center in Minneapolis. Additionally, he served as a law clerk for the Honorable Peter Cahill, Chief Judge of Hennepin County. He also served a summer as a law clerk for Meshbesher and Spence.

Upon admission to the Minnesota bar, he practiced as a criminal defense attorney for Gerald Miller, P.A. He also spent time as an associate attorney for MacDonald Law Firm, LLC. In February 2014, Jake opened Brodin Legal, LLC, with offices in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Since opening Brodin Legal, LLC, Jake has focused in the areas of criminal, family, estate planning, business formation and immigration law. Jake takes pride ensuring each and every client receives hands on, aggressive legal representation.
