Thomas J Nikolai

Graduate of the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree (1956) and from the Wm Mitchell College of Law (now the Mitchell Hamline School of Law) with a JD degree (cum laude) in 1962. Admitted to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office in 1958 and Minnesota State and Federal bars, the Federal Court of Claims and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Served as Manager of Western Patent Operations of the Univac Didision of the Sperry Rand corporation from 1962-1977 and then entered private practice of Intellectual Property law with offices in Minneapolis, MN. Areas of special competence include complex electronic devices, biomedical inventions and processes and agricultural and industrial equipment A past President of the Minnesota Intellectual Property Association, a member of the Minnesota Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
