Thomas A Judd

Tom has over 30 years of experience, mainly focusing his practice on advising closely held and family-owned business relating to ownership structure, entity formation, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions and ownership succession and transition. 

Prior to joining Morrison Sund, Tom spent the last 20+ years with larger law firms in Minneapolis focusing his practice on ownership structure, entity formation, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and ownership succession and transitions.

Tom graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance from Purdue University in 1968, and received his JD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1973. Tom is recognized as a Minnesota Super Lawyer, since 1999. He received the Founders Award from The Arc Greater Twin Cities in 2014 after serving on their Board of Directors for over 15 years and was recently Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of The Arc of the US. Tom now serves on the Board of Directors of The Arc Minnesota and The Fred Wells Tennis & Education Center.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Minnesota State Bar and the Hennepin County Bar Association.

Tom enjoys tennis, golf, biking, boating and reading. Tom also enjoys spending time with his grandchildren (and his children).
