Ryan has a broad litigation practice and has tried cases involving breach of fiduciary duty, fraudulent transfers, breach of contract, statutory employment claims, mechanic’s liens, construction defects, conversion, and numerous other business and individual claims and criminal matters. From drafting the first documents in a lawsuit to arguing the case in state Supreme Courts, Ryan has ushered clients through all stages of their case. When not trying lawsuits, Ryan assists clients with their residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Morrison Sund PLLC in 2006, Ryan practiced commercial litigation with Gislason & Hunter, LLP, was a law clerk with Messerli & Kramer, P.A. and interned with Judge John P. Smith of Minnesota’s Ninth Judicial District.
Ryan graduated cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law in 2003, where he was apublished Law Review author and represented William Mitchell College of Law at the Florida State Bar Association’s national Tax Moot Court Competition. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the Minnesota Land Title Association and Hazeltine National Golf Club.
When not at the office, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Tawnya and their two sons.
