W. Paul Otten

For more than 35 years, W. Paul Otten has handled trial work for individuals and families injured or bereaved by events such as auto collisions, medical malpractice, slip-and-fall accidents, and dog attacks, obtaining significant recoveries through settlements and jury verdicts. A northern Minnesota native, he earned his B.S. at the University of Minnesota Duluth and his J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Mr. Otten speaks frequently at legal seminars and CLEs, has been named a Leading American Attorney by his peers, and received Martindale‑Hubbell’s top rating. He is an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and is approved by the Minnesota Supreme Court, serves as a Conciliation Court Referee, volunteers with Legal Assistance of Dakota County, and participates on nonprofit boards. Active in the Minnesota Association for Justice, the Minnesota State Bar Association, and local bar groups, was a long term member of the First Districts Ethics Committee, for the First Judicial District; his firm maintains an A+ BBB rating.
