Katherine K. Vessenes

Katherine Vessenes is pleased to join the Saliterman and Siefferman team of “of counsel” attorneys. Nationally known as an expert on the legal and ethical issues of financial advisors, Katherine has written three books for the securities industry and spoken at hundreds of events.

 A serial entrepreneur, Katherine used her extensive legal background in the other businesses she owns:

 · Vestment Advisors, , which provides coaching and consulting to the financial services industry.

 · MD Financial, , where she and her team deliver comprehensive financial planning services exclusively for physicians.

 · Vestment Financial, , a firm that assists business owners and successful professional with their investments, financial planning and insurance needs.

 · In addition, she and her husband, Peter, are majority shareholders in a global software company, ProfitSee, , that provides small and medium business owners with the financial analytics that was previously only available to large, multinational businesses.

 Katherine was probably the first attorney/financial advisor to bring ethics training to the securities industry. “Ethics has always been a big part of my core values,” says Katherine. She started the first ethics board when she was still in law school at the University of Denver. Later she was on the Board of Ethics for the Certified Financial Planner® Board of Standards. She created an ethics program for the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and American Express.

 According to Bloomberg Press, “Katherine Vessenes is America’s best known authority on the legal, ethical and compliance issues facing financial advisors.”

 Katherine and her husband Peter, live in Shorewood, MN and Providence, RI, where they have another office. They have three grown children and love to bicycle. She recently took up kettlebells to stay in shape.

 Katherine’s clients will be working with the Saliterman and Siefferman team to provide them up-to-date legal advice on their estate planning, asset protection strategies and business plans.
