I was referred to Marvin by another attorney friend. That was a big mistake. He doesn't return emails. Shows up to court and hearings late. His billing is vague. He never followed up on anything. I had to remind him to get paperwork from husband's side. He never ordered appraisal on house. Ne...ver sought temporary child support. Never suggested custody evaluation. He never informed me of the process and other avenues I could pursue. I had to tell him the same information over and over again. I am out a lot of money and have to start over again.

He wasn't good at explaining things and made mistakes that cost me. He asked me how I wanted to handle an issue and then did what he wanted anyway. Of course I paid for that phone call that wasn't necessary since he did what he wanted anyway. Let my ex's lawyer run the show too. The most competent th...ing he did was collect my money.

I hired Joseph Marvin for my divorce. Since both parties agreed on everything, it should've been quick. However, he hardly ever returned my emails, he made many mistakes, hardly ever gave me any valuable information to explain the process, his assistant was rude, and he charged me for mistakes that h...e made. The whole process took almost a year to complete due to his lack of communication. It was a terrible experience. I hope to God this doesn't have to happen to another person. Divorce is hard enough without dealing with an attorney like this.
