I agree with the other review for Gretchen! She has managed to allow all 3 of my children's physical custody be transferred to their fathers. My oldest son was abruptly moved to New York to live with his father whom he had only met twice in his life (nearly 15 now). Gretchen has done nothing to defen...d me and in all honesty Anoka Co. CPS lacked the desire to reunify all 3 kiddos with me as the judge had ordered for a solid 18months. Gretchen did not advocate for me, did not defend any aligations brought against me, she rarely ever returns an email phonecall or message until 2 days prior to court when it's too late to do anything prior to the hearing. What's worse is that I wi be appealing the case and just found out all appeals go through her first and she determines the attorney she thinks is a good fit for the appeal. I am appalled by this entire county. They ripped apart my family. This all started over a 911 call I demanded as I was running down the road, half naked, screaming for someone to call 911. After 8 miserable years of abuse in every shape and form, I was finally brave enough to take a stand! Finally the police would know what a monster this man was to my children and myself! WRONG! He managed to manipulate the situation so drastically, after more than 6 months if my daughter in foster care, the judge determined to send her back to the same home with that monster she calls a father. I begged and pleaded. Gretchen insisted It would be okay, nothing turned out ok! For once upon a time, I was a "single mom" raising 3 kids and knew nothing else, I just wanted to raise a happy little family! Our lives will forever be changed by this! I love my kids more than. Anything in the world and they have all expressed they wanna be back home with Mommy. But no such luck! That's what not being able to afford an Attorney will do for you! Gretchen was court appointed as a public defender and clearly she didn't give a hoot about any of us! I requested but was unable to obtain a different defender! Disgusting

Gretchen neglected to put in required paperwork causing many problems and dragging our case on for years past what was nessesaey had she done her job. Do not hire this lady unless you want your case to be neglected and lacking prudent information. She put court appointed cases on the lowest totem . D...oesn't respond in a timely matter. She does not care about people she represents . Lacks skills needed to be a good lawyer.
