Kathy Krider Hart

Ms. Kathy K. Hart, originally from Cuba, Illinois, a small rural community in central Illinois, completed her high school education in the same locality. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Before pursuing law, Ms. Hart accumulated professional and life experiences over four years as a legislative aide at the Minnesota Senate. Subsequently, she worked in government relations and corporate communications for West Publishing Corp. in Eagan, Minnesota (now Thomson Reuters).

Ms. Hart received her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law and was admitted to practice law in the State of Minnesota in 2000. Her admission to practice before the United States District Court followed in 2005. Notably, she successfully represented a client at the Minnesota Court of Appeals, resulting in a published case, Frank-Bretwisch v. Ryan, 741 N.W.2d 910 (Minn. App. 2007).

As an experienced litigator, Ms. Hart holds the belief that individuals, rather than courts and judges, are best positioned to determine what is in their family's best interests. She strives for the efficient resolution of disputes through cost-effective and creative means. Encouraging clients to pursue mediation when beneficial, Ms. Hart is also a trained mediator (Minnesota Supreme Court, Rule 114 Qualified Neutral).
