Professional, courteous, and effective

I hired Brian Clausen and his team to be my attorney for my divorce. Through out the process Brian and his team were professional, courteous, effective and thorough. He and his team worked hard to have the most prepared case for the mediation. They used effective precedent cases to establish a ver...y strong position for me. Throughout the entire process they kept me informed and moving forward. The final outcome was very agreeable to me and lifted a great deal of stress from my shoulders. I highly recommend Brian and his team.

The most competent, professional attorney

I highly recommend Brian Clausen and his law firm. Brian helped me through an extremely difficult time with child custody/parenting time and child support disputes. I was treated with respect and kindness by Brian, the paralegals, and other office staff. Brian’s professionalism and knowledge were ...unmatched, and he remained committed to the best interests of my children and myself. His honesty was sincere. He told me what I needed to hear, even if it was not what I wanted to hear. Communication (with myself as well as opposing counsel) was clear and prompt. He kept me informed of everything and guided me throughout the entire process. I never had to wonder what was going on with my case. I really cannot say enough positive things about this law firm. Your mind will be at ease knowing that fierce, competent advocates are in your corner, working toward an outcome that is optimal for your particular situation.

what to do?

Christmas is supposed to be a time of happiness and joy. Years ago, I was sitting at the computer when my now ex wife approached me stating. "we need to talk, I don't know where our relationship is going and I no longer feel comfortable continuing". This was the Love of my life, I was shocked.. After... months of attempting to fix what could not be fixed, enough was enough I had to find an attorney to protect myself. I had no clue what to do or what to expect. after multiple consultations with other attorney's I was driving home and saw Mr. Clausen's office. I walked in and, within an hour walked out having hired an attorney from Mr. Clausen's firm. I was relieved.... Then it happened.... we were (if memory serves) less than 24 hours from the first court appearance when I received notice that my attorney was no longer with the firm. I was given two options. go elsewhere or have Mr. Clausen (Brian) step in for the attorney. what choice did I have???? I was shocked. However, Brian proved he was completely prepared for the case, had caught up with it entirely and after a short meeting with him prior to the hearing. I felt comfortable. Brian read my personality correctly. (I'm a laid back relaxed man) and gave me direction and support that matched my personality. if I sent in documents that I felt were items he should be made aware of he would look them over and state clearly "nice" or "don't worry about that". In the end I received exactly what Brian and I had calculated for support. And, I believe it is thanks to the attorney's handling the issues that my ex and I now, years later can be in the same room together and not feel uncomfortable.

Penultimate Professional

Brian Clausen is the toughest, most diligent, responsive, experienced, honest, respectful, and hard-working attorney I have ever had the pleasure of working with (and I am one). I came to Brian with a difficult legal situation and less than a week to prepare to litigate it, and Brian was on. The. Bal...l. He was in constant communication with me, had researched all the relevant legal nuances, prepped me for the hearing, and had an excellent defense prepared. Fortunately, he did not need it—Brian also recognized that the best solution for me, and indeed, all parties in this situation was a creative settlement that he crafted before we even walked into the courthouse. I went in to the hearing hoping that for that settlement, but confident that Brian would be the legal bulldog I needed in that situation if it was not agreed to. Brian’s knowledge and experience with the Dakota courts and the Judge we were assigned were invaluable as well. If you are looking for a tough, experienced, knowledgeable, creative attorney that will actually answer your calls and emails—you can stop looking now. Brian’s your guy. I highly recommend this penultimate professional.
