"I am sharing this to help others make an informed choice. Based on my experience, this attorney was very efficient at billing and accepting my timely payments, but I felt he failed significantly when it came to communication and advocacy. From my perspective, I received poor advice and saw a lack of... genuine concern for my case.I felt strongly enough to file a complaint with the Minnesota Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility (OLPR). The process took over a year and required constant prodding from me. While the OLPR ultimately found the evidence did not meet their high 'clear and convincing' standard for discipline, I was left disheartened. My takeaway from the process was that the system is incredibly difficult for a layperson to navigate. As the saying goes, 'It all depends on whose ox is being gored,' and in this situation, I felt the burden of his lack of diligence fell entirely on me.This was a financially and emotionally exhausting encounter. I was naive and trusting, and I feel that trust was exploited. Fortunately, I later hired Mark Thieroff of Siegel Brill. He was excellent--keeping me informed and resolving my situation with the utmost professionalism.Based on my experience, I would not recommend this lawyer under any circumstances. If you need diligent representation and proactive communication, I suggest you look elsewhere."
