Mark Allen Labine

Mark upcharged at the last minute $1000 dollars over the agreed amount on an arbitration issue. My attorney, deferred part of his retainer to help me pay Labine. Labine claimed he worked 10 extra hours on the case. My attorney of considerable longer time in the profession, said, "He didn't work ...10 extra minutes on the case." It was a very simple arbitration case. Moreover, this guy is a cold fish. Unhospitable, and looks like he'd been out panhandling. Very scruffy. When my attorney found out who was leading the arbitration, he moaned. Apparently, Labine is a n'er do well in the legal profession hanging around 'til he landed a job as a referee. My attorney is a partner in a well-known firm. My impression of Labine is he likes people to kiss his butt, and likes to be "in charge". You don't have to read people like a book to figure out this dolt . . . he's more like a brochure.
