Started out we believed in him, seemed genuine. But in the end we learned he put very little effort in to working on our case. Difficult to reach, very poor closing argument, misunderstood the law for the charge at hand and kept repeating the same mistake. Failed us in the end, We trusted him. His... closing was almost none existent. Even the judge was stunned when he was done and kept asking us if we really understood what was going on. He was trying to let us know that this was not right . During trial and closing statements he mislead us. We did have some wins during the whole process but in the end it felt he gave up because it went much longer then he expected. We ended up hiring an new attorney in the end because we could not reach John and sentencing was approaching. But when he kept defending us with his misunderstood meaning of the charges, even after the judge corrected him several times, we knew we had to find a attorney that would care about our case. He is really good at promoting military law. He does care in his own way. But in a trial, criminal defense, felony charges, he was spread to thin or did not have resources. We are unsure but it all fell apart.
