Straightforward Advice

My fiance (now wife) and I both decided we wanted a pre-nuptial agreement. After a month of researching agreements and lawyers (and speaking with a few), our wedding was approaching and our window to get an agreement done was closing. I found Christina's website and contacted her. I explained my t...imeframe and her staff scheduled a meeting within the next week. When I met Christina, she projected competence right away. I also really appreciated how she patiently listened. I'd done a lot of up-front research on my own, including filling out a form agreement, and Christina didn't try to start me over at a level one lecture as some of the other attorneys I spoke with did. She did bring up new relevant info, which I definitely wanted. She was very clear about her fee structure and timeframe to complete the work, as well as how to get the most out of her by working with her staff. She was also very honest that she had an upcoming trial and gave me tips on how to work with her paralegal on the initial drafting while she was busy in court. Christina's paralegal and other staff were professional and communicative. They helped get us through the drafting and initial revision process. They also took my fiance's attorney's contact info and handled all of that coordination. I had to send a reminder email during the final review process to get Christina to finalize the document. However, I appreciated that she was up front about her schedule. It was much preferable to waiting to hear something, not knowing her status, and blowing past our deadline. In the end, I'm glad I worked with Christina. We wanted an agreement that would minimize complications in the event of a split. She incorporated all of the changes we requested to make our agreement amicable and to preserve our joint rights while married. We signed the agreement right at the cusp of our deadline, but we got there! I felt I got my money's worth and got competent, honest counsel.
