Suggesting Interest in my Case, Lawyer Requests Documentation, then Drops Communication

Responding promptly to my detailed summary of a legal complaint against an apartment management, Mr. Appelget asked me to provide emails and pictures to support my allegations, which I did. Then he abruptly said he wasn't interested in my case, offering no explanation, no referral -- nothing. When I ...respectfully asked him what documentation he wanted beyond what I provided, or whether he could offer any guidance on my case: Silence. Which begs the question: If my initial summary triggered his interest enough to request corroboration, which by providing served only to bolster my case, then why did he suddenly withdraw his interest? And what exactly was he looking for? (And why didn't he at least promise to delete the information I provided him?) His refusal to offer any guidance, any clarity, or even a referral, left me at a dead end. That no doubt is his business strategy -- gauge interest, then get in or out quickly -- but the goodwill and good word earned from spending a little time with me might have served him better in the long run. Instead, he left me empty -- and profoundly disappointed.
