Biography
As a graduate of the UMN law school and Humphrey School of Public Policy, I leverage the law, data, and media to accomplish client goals.
At the the League of Minnesota Cities, I aggressively defended local governments in state court and developed municipal policies on their behalf. I then helped establish the FDA Center for Tobacco Products in Washington, D.C., where I continued to partner with state and local officials in bringing legal actions against retailers and Big Tobacco.
Currently, I serve public and private clients at Flaherty & Hood, P.A. There, I've helped reform local government aid in 2013 and created and drafted the 2014 Broadband Infrastructure Grant Fund bill. I routinely write opinion columns and editorials that appear statewide and I marshal complex data to persuade policymakers and the public.
