I assist clients with comprehensive estate planning and business planning in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, which includes sophisticated wealth preservation, transfer, and asset protection techniques. I work with many business owners and highly compensated executives, as well as many farm families. As a trust, estate, and business lawyer, a primary focus is tax minimization and the transition of family wealth to the next generation. I also regularly advise clients on making gifts to charitable organizations, and also count non-profit corporations among my clients.
I regularly advise and assist clients with business transactions, including business entity formation, business succession planning and sales of businesses. Whether representing the buyer of a business or the seller, I am keenly aware of the pros and cons of both stock sales and asset sales, and have worked on a variety of SBA financed deals.
