Amy is amazing. She is very educated in the school systems across Minnesota, knows the laws, rights of parents/ students and helping with IEPs. Like many parents, we reached out to Amy when we couldn't find the right solution and challenged with our school district. She was calm, unbiased and an a...dvocate for our child. Her interactions were swift, professional and resulted in a positive environment for our child.

Amy is very knowledgeable, compassionate, and always advocates for the lawful needs of the learner (Free Appropriate Public Education in the Least Restricted Environment). She helped us to challenge incorrect claims made by the school district, that harmed our child, and as a result, we were able t...o get appropriate resources for his IEP, and accommodations of his learning needs, as mandated by law - Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). She also ensured that the district is being held accountable for their actions and required them to review and improve their practices, as mandated by the Minnesota Department of Education rules and regulation. We are very grateful for Amy's expertise and would highly recommend her. In our interactions with her, we found Amy always prompt and responding to inquiries the same day, and genuinely wanting to help on a personal level, beyond her law content expertise.

I asked for help for my child in school over quite a few years. I couldn't get the school to listen. Amy helped me understand what we needed to ask for and she helped us get it done.
