Nice, but……

I don’t typically review people, but this review feels important and is coming from a sincere place of wanting others to feel protected and confident in their legal counsel; especially for a family law matter. I hired Christine for my divorce with children involved. She does seem knowledgeable in mos...t ways and helped me sometimes when I had legal questions and needed guidance in order to protect myself and my assets and divorce outcome. However, she seemed very unorganized and almost never answered my questions when I asked her through the client portal. I would repeatedly ask for answers and sometimes never receive them. She would respond, finally, to my messages after repeated attempts to seek answers and guidance, but would often not even answer my question directly. I had to do a ton of my own research and leg work. While she is knowledgeable and overall nice, I felt insecure with her as my legal counsel, feeling her disorganization and scattered demeanor was not ensuring my protection and best legal outcome in my case. I felt like I had to learn law in some ways for myself to protect my interests, as she was not responsive and didn’t seem invested in my case. On many occasions she told me one thing, then later said the opposite thing, denying she had ever said the first thing. It made me feel very insecure and afraid that I was missing very important legal knowledge and information that was imperative to my legal interests. I did not feel protected or reassured that I was being properly guided through my divorce.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
