Justen Carl Imsande

Justen Imsande was born and raised in Minnesota. He graduated from Winona State University in 2011 and from University of Saint Thomas – School of Law in 2015. Justen knew he would be working in the criminal justice system since he was young. He confirmed that criminal defense was the right practice area for him when he started working for Sieben & Cotter as a student law clerk in 2014.

Since being admitted to the Minnesota Bar, he has been active in the courtroom and in the office behind the scenes. In the courtroom, Justen handles various pre-trial hearings and assists with contested hearings and trials. At the office, he devotes his time to researching and writing on legal issues, motions and memorandums of law. Justen’s dedication and knowledge of the law has helped the team obtain many case dismissals and not-guilty verdicts in serious criminal cases.

Outside of the law, Justen has been serving in the Minnesota Army National Guard since 2011. In his seventh year of service he has served as a platoon leader, battalion personnel officer and is currently a tactical intelligence officer for the 1st Combined Arms Battalion, 194th Armor Regiment.
