Mr. Muza took a case for me that he had absolutely no knowledge regarding the laws that governed the case. He never informed me that he was not capable of fully representing me. I hired him and he insisted on a retainer of $2,000 upfront. Less than 18 hrs later, he claims that he used the entire $2..., 000 It was obvious in court that he had not read the details of my case. When I sent a polite email and asked for at least $1, 800 of the retainer back (allowing for his 28 minutes in court and another hour of prep-which he sis not do) he told me not to contact him again. I then attempted to call his office. His staff claimed he was unavailable and I left a message that I would like to speak about a refund of unused fees. He emailed me back again stating that I was harassing him and that if I emailed or called again he would file harassment charges. I will be filing a formal complaint. Because he took the last dime I had, I am unable to hire a competent and honest attorney.

I have had Dan represent me in a several personal and business matters since the early nineties and he has always done right by me. Every matter brought to him has been resolved to my satisfaction. He was always thorough, diligent and respectful of me and in his representation. He always explained... the legal ramifications of the matter at hand so that I knew exactly where I stood and gave me realistic expectations as to the likely results of the case. I have also referred family members and friends to him. Each one of them was satisfied with his representation.

I hired Mr. Muza to represent me on a small claims matter. I found him to be generally a pleasant person and he handled the case paperwork satisfactorily. However, when the case went to trial he appeared ill prepared. His lack of preparation showed when he failed to call out many relevant documents (...evidence) during the trial and particularly while cross-examining the opposing party. My trial witnesses indicated that he did not make an effort to meet with them or ask them questions prior to the trial and seemed unsure of what to ask them.
