Honestly, I could not possibly give this attorney a lower review. The score is not being spiteful, my experience with her was really that bad. I informed Ms. Ahern from the beginning, and repeated numerous times, that I wished to do all legal research and writing personally as well as any work that w...ould normally be given to a paralegal. I have the requisite education to be a paralegal. She went ahead and did work she was specifically told not to, and of course charged me for it. I informed Ms. Ahern from the beginning I was seeking my attorney fees. She waited until my retainer was depleted before saying she did not believe we could recover my attorney fees (she was completely wrong about that as well). She failed to depose a key witness. She completely missed vital deadlines (such as the deadline for filing an amended complaint which would have allowed recovery of attorney fees), blaming the court administrator for giving her the wrong information, when the deadlines are simply a matter of following the rules of civil procedure. She would refuse to return my numerous messages, I would have to contact her repeatedly with the same questions or information. Of course, she charged for reading every email, even the ones that simply repeated questions she failed to answer the first 3 times. She requested but failed to compel discovery of crucial documents, which I believe caused my case to be dismissed In my honest opinion, Brianna Ahern is completely incompetent, and not at all knowledgeable in the law.
