Patient, detailed, intelligent, extremely knowledgeable, great at strategy

Bennett, kept his cool and guided me through an intense and emotionally charged custody and placement case. Even though my ex hired an obscenely expensive attorney who was constantly on the attack just to break you and make you feel small, Bennett kept his cool and helped me keep my cool throughout. ...It’s not always the case with people (and in my personal experience with attorneys) but he actually has a heart! We won our case, thanks to Bennett, my child is safe and happy. Thank you to, Mr. Myers and his team.

Mr.

When you're going through a divorce you need a good, honest lawyer. My divorce was draggning on and I had to find a new laywer, that's when I contacted Bennett. He took care of everything. He answered my questions, finished the paperwork, and my divorce was finally over within a few short months. I a...ppreciate that he was very proactive and didn't charge me insane fees. I highly recoomend Bennett!

Slow and worthless

I'm giving 1 star because I can't do negative amount of stars. I had a very straightforward divorce with no children that I hired him for. He reassured me this would be very simple and straightforward and wouldn't take much time. My ex-husband also had an attorney so I figured that meant that they... were conversing and figuring out the details. There is a 90 day waiting period for divorce in WI, so I called him after a few months and asked when the court date was. He hadn't worked on it at all that entire time, and I had already paid him $3000. I should have fired him then but I already had that much invested in him, so I said get on it man. Overall it took him 1 full year to do the simplest divorce ever, and I still had to pay into my ex-husband. HORRIBLE LAWYER- do not heir! If you do, stay on his ass or he'll ignore the case.

Alayna, I am sorry that you were dissatisfied. I should also note you were a client at my previous firm, not Myers Law. The #1 reason for divorces dragging on is that, despite negotiations, both sides do not agree on settlement terms. Yes, there is a 120-day waiting period, but any divorce where an agreement is not reached will take longer than this. Unfortunately a year is not uncommon. Also, in the vast majority of divorces (since WI is a community property state), one party will have to pay money or transfer property to the other party at the end of the divorce. As you point out, in your case, you were the one who had to do this. Thank you and best of luck.

Savvy Family Lawyer

Bennett was hired for a difficult situation. He had enough patience and understanding throughout the entire process. In the end result, I obtained what I had hired him for. If you want an experienced family attorney and someone that will listen to your needs then you would want to hire Bennett. Thank...s for making hard situations..........easy

Good attorney

Bennett did a good job with my divorce. I appreciated several things about his approach. He is a straight-shooter and isn't afraid to tell you things you don't want to hear. He took the time to find out what I wanted and crafted a deal that I felt was fair. His fees were reasonable. He d...id a fair amount of work for this online and he responded to emails in a timely manner. He's a pleasant man who is easy to talk with. I would recommend him for work in his areas of specialty.
