In his spare time, he teaches for Junior Achievement in the local schools and volunteers for many charities, including United Cerebral Palsy. Attorney Berton “Dale” Sherman died in 2016. He had been practicing law for over 60 years. Prior to joining the legal profession, Dale was in the U.S. Navy and served in World War II. While in law school, Dale was the editor of the University of Wisconsin Law Review.
