Highly Recommended for a Professional Attorney

I have been represented by Stuart Rottier since February of 2016, and would like to make it known that I believe that the 7/13/2017 review was done by my ex-wife and/or her mother. My case turned out to be three times as long as it should have been, due to my ex-wife’s incompetent attorney. Her att...orney’s unwillingness to follow the law as it was written and to control her client and client’s mother caused continuous delays throughout the divorce. Originally, my ex-wife and I worked with a Pro Se and came to a mutual agreement prior to our initial court appearance. However, 3 weeks prior to the initial court date she rescinded on that offer and obtained an attorney. Attorney Rottier came highly recommended by a family/business acquaintance. At my initial consultation, Attorney Rottier was professional and straight-to-the-point regarding my case. He advised me on how the initial court appearance would go, and it went exactly as he detailed. Attorney Rottier has been professional in every facet; he was always forthright with information and interpreted the law as it was written. Attorney Rottier responded in a timely manner to all emails and phone calls, even if he was out of the office. Attorney Rottier advised on a regular basis as to how I could do some of the prep work in order to curb any additional fees. The judge/court commissioners were never intimidated by Attorney Rottier; in fact, they were more frustrated by my ex-wife’s attorney, and her lack of organization and continuous interruptions whilst trying to handle one issue at a time. Attorney Rottier would request information from my ex-wife’s attorney and would have to wait days, sometimes even weeks for a response. He would continue to follow-up on matters until he received a response. My ex-wife and her attorney would continuously make slanderous and defamatory allegations in order to drag out another court appearance. Mediation was finalized and signed by both parties and the attorneys, to which my ex-wife’s attorney filed for a Guardian Ad Lideum 2 months after the fact. During this whole process, I continued to trust in Attorney Rottier’s knowledge and expertise, as he remained professional and advised me to stay steadfast to the truth. My ex-wife and her attorney made several attempts to hide the fact that she was not informing the courts of an increase in her pay and several other contempt of court issues, to which Attorney Rottier simply made it known to the courts during the final trial. Attorney Rottier attempted to resolve issues prior to the final trial, however, my ex-wife and her attorney were unwilling to compromise and even fought the GAL recommendations. Attorney Rottier fought for my rights as a father and saw that the law was upheld for the sake of my daughter and my family. I would highly recommend him and feel that the WI Bar Association should review the actions of my ex-wife’s attorney, as she was quoted as saying “she had no control over her own client” and was unprofessional throughout the process.
