Biography
I started my legal career as a public defender. As a public defender, I handled a significant caseload and a wide variety of criminal law cases. By having a high caseload, I was able to continually improve my litigation skills and add to my courtroom experiences. I handled multiple homicide cases, including two 1st Degree Intentional Homicide cases and two First Degree Reckless Homicide cases. In addition to those cases, a large portion of my caseload consisted of drug, OWI, and juvenile cases. I was a member of the Brown County Heroin Treatment Court, which allowed me to witness the need to focus on rehabilitation in the criminal justice system, especially with the opiate crisis. After my work as a public defender, I began working for the Law Firm of Travis A. Crowell. I handle criminal, family, and civil law cases.
