I cannot say enough kind things about Rebecca Oettinger and her handling of our collaborative divorce. Divorce is such a painful process - your world is shattered; I was lucky to put one foot in front of the other, during that time. Rebecca was so empathetic and understanding. She always laid out m...y options and when I was at a loss, she would help me work through them so I could make the best decision for our family (because married or not, our child will always hold us together). She was firm and effective in negotiations, without being a jerk - which I found opposing counsel to be many times... Even my ex preferred her over his attorney by the end! I am happy to say, the division of assets and responsibilities were divided fairly, and now, three years later, my ex and I are indeed friends and a successful co-parenting team. (It is indeed possible, though you may not feel it at the time of crisis.) I believe we are where we are today, not only because we put our child first, and inherently we loved each other so there is an element of affection and respect (no matter how messy things got towards the end of the marriage), but just as importantly, was the kind, approachable way Rebecca worked with both of us. She diffused opposing counsel many times, she has a high attention to detail, good follow-through, and just a good heart. She is no pushover - she is gracefully very effective. I have recommended her to friends and acquaintances that have gone through the same major life change. She makes a huge loss manageable, and I promise there is indeed a brighter light at the end of the tunnel.

Rebecca Oettinger was my representation during a collaborative divorce. Before beginning work with Rebecca, I felt I was at a disadvantage because my ex-wife had extensive financial background and knowledge and had already selected an attorney. All our correspondence and interactions were extremely clear and professional. When the divorce was finalized, I felt I had been represented well, better than I could have imagined actually. While my divorce was collaborative in nature, I can see Rebecca also being highly successful as an advocate in any support/custody situation. Her communication skills and her knowledge made an uncomfortable situation as positive and supportive as possible. I continue to view her as a resource and have sought her advice in other situations. I recommend her highly.
