I started my career as a prosecutor in central Wisconsin (4 years), then represented civil defendants (15 years), and since 2001 have represented claimants in personal-injury cases, worker's compensation cases, and civil-rights cases.
I have litigated civil cases across Wisconsin, in both the state and federal court systems. I have appeared before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Bike accident
Ray was tireless in pursuing damages from the driver of a car that hit my bike and caused me long-term spinal injury. At every stage of the lengthy proceedings he consulted with me and worked hard to achieve a fair out-of-court settlement.
"Ray Clausen has a wealth of experience and knowledge in worker's compensation law that few other attorneys in this state can match. He knows the comp system inside and out, having worked many years as a defense attorney for an insurance carrier (which is where I met Ray) before Ray opened his own office over a decade ago to solely represent the injured and help the downtrodden. Ray has argued several work comp cases before the WI Supreme Court, and has tried literally hundreds of case before hearing examiners at the administrative level. Whenever I need advice on cases of my own, I look to Ray Clausen. He is a clever and tenacious fighter for the rights of his client. Any worker who has been injured and needs an attorney would be very fortunate to be Ray Clausen's client. I highly endorse Ray Clausen... he is one of the best attorneys in Wisconsin."
