Robert F. Nagel

Robert's knowledge of Wisconsin law from his 25+ years in practice is unmatched. He's a fighter and has a long record of delivering results for his clients, including for me in my unfortunate OWI charge. I thought my life would be over, but Robert helped me from falling into despair and mitigated the... worst outcomes I could have faced. I would recommend him to anyone similarly in need.

I would agree with the negative review above. My personal experience included Mr Nagel not listening to my statements, not understanding my situation, having already opinion made about the case, being unprepared (and often late) for the court meetings, etc. In general I had the impression that I woul...d do a better job defending myself than he did. Well, I agree that he is not specializing in that kind of law but that should be said before he took the case. Of course I lost miserably. Paying to this day for it.

I went to Robert Nagel for legal advice, however before I could even tell him my story he had cut me off multiple times, disregarded my questions, and had the assumption that I had done something wrong. He never even took the time to look at my paperwork I brought with me. When asked "If he felt co...mfortable talking about tenant/landlord law" he paused for a few seconds and said "sure I guess I can talk about that". He clearly was not interested and did not know tenant/landlord rights. I got better advice from the Tenant Resource Center, and they can't even give legal advice.

Attorney Nagel represented me recently in my defense of a citation. From the beginning, it was clear he had a strong understanding and thorough review of the matter at hand and worked diligently to ensure that my case met a reasonable outcome. He is intellectually brilliant and articulated himself we...ll while always listening to my thoughts and input along the way. Additionally, he was always very prompt in answering questions by both email and phone. I was pleased with the outcome, which was dismissal of the citation and case. At the end of the day, I know it was because of Robert's representation that this was resolved accordingly! Great work, great attorney, and I would HIGHLY recommend him! It's also worth noting that the reason I hired him in the first place was because I had heard that he is well-respected in the Dane County legal community. This makes a BIG difference when seeking representation, and it was clear Atty. Nagel lived up to my expectations and did everything he could to advocate for a fair and just result.
