Michael R. Laing

I am a patent litigation associate at Perkins Coie LLP, an Am Law 50 firm with more than 1,000 lawyers in 19 offices across the United States and Asia. I use my background in mechanical and civil engineering to manage complex patent litigation matters. A registered patent attorney, I represent technology companies in a broad range of industries, including consumer products, sports equipment, pharmaceuticals, biofuels, and manufacturing.

While attending Marquette University Law School, I served as Managing Editor of the Marquette Law Review. Prior to law school, I worked as a bridge engineer for the world’s largest engineering design firm. A former collegiate Division 1 basketball player, I understand the importance of collaboration and bring a focused determination to my practice.
