Mark W. Pernitz

Mark Pernitz has been a trial lawyer for more than 35 years and has represented insurance companies, corporations, manufacturers, municipalities, school districts, small businesses and injured individuals in a wide variety of cases across the state of Wisconsin. Many cases have involved personal injury actions, insurance coverage disputes, products liability cases, construction accidents, motor vehicle accidents, farming accidents, professional negligence claims and the like.  Mark also serves as a mediator in the Dane County Mediation Program.

A long-time water enthusiast, Mark enjoys boating and sailing. He was a director and president of the Yahara Lakes Association, a director of the Lake Waubesa Conservation Association, and a member of the Dane County Lakes & Watershed Commission.

Mark resides in the McFarland, Wisconsin area, where he served as president of the McFarland School Board. He has been involved in a variety of community activities, including chairman of the High School stadium project; founding member, officer and director of McFarland Youth Football; and McFarland softball commissioner, as well as coaching a number of youth sports.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys endurance sports.  He has run more than 10 marathons; has completed 3 Ironman Triathlons and 4 American Birkebeiner Cross Country Ski Marathons; and has qualified as a Super Randonneur bicyclist.  Mark has completed a number of week-long bicycle tours across Wisconsin and Colorado.  He has bicycled over almost all of the major passes in Colorado and several of the major Tour de France climbs.
