Compassion, diligence and logical

I had a wonderful experience working with Margery. She works diligently and with a sense of urgency. She really listens to what her client has to say and fights hard and efficiently to get the justice you deserve. She's upfront and honest, yet approachable and easy to talk to. She is flexible and whe...n I had an emergency situation, she dropped everything to help save what could have been a very dangerous situation for my son. She works with passion and understanding. She has a level head and really thinks things through. There's no one that I would rather have advocate for my son and my family than Margery. She will give your case every ounce of effort she has, plus more than you'd think she had left in her. She is timely on getting back to you with phone calls. She explains things in a way that anyone can understand and is well respected in the court room. If you want justice at a fair price and someone who will actually submerse themselves in your case and treat you like family, this is who you have been searching for. I would recommend her services to everyone. I've never been so satisfied with the amazing service I received. Margery is professional and always on top of her game. Looking for someone who cares and will make your needs feel important? You've found a compassionate and knowledgeable attorney in Margery Tibbetts Wakefield. Thank you.

Exceptional Attorney

Margery was my attorney in a family law case. During the process, Margery was respectful, confidential and always professional. She had a wonderful collaborative manner with other attorneys and court professionals. As a result, she accomplished a great deal and always maintained her integrity. ... She was very knowledgeable, especially with Wisconsin-specific law. Most importantly, Margery was an incredibly kind and generous professional. I always trusted her advice. With Margery's exceptional analytical ability and creative strategies, we had an excellent outcome in the case. I was truly fortunate to work with Margery and highly recommend her as an attorney.

Elder Abuse Case

Margery helped my family when we discovered that my uncle was being abused and swindled by a neighbor. She had a history of other Elder Abuse cases so we were grateful for her knowledge and compassion. Margery was fierce in her desire to get justice for my uncle. I would highly recommend Margery for ...any family law matter you may need.

Poorly done

I had a consultation with Attorney Wakefield on 10/31/17. I told her a lot, but received little info. in return. I just assumed she would be more detailed at our next appt. I hired her on 11/6/17, paid her $1500 retainer, and signed divorce papers. That was it. No advice, no info. about the whole p...rocess. My case is a bit complex so I assumed there would be more questions/info. She made it seem like there were no worries and I was assured the papers would be filed by the end of the week. The papers weren't filed so I e-mailed on 11/27 to inquire. I was told she had gotten busy with some trials but I was assured that the pleadings to my husband should be received by the end of the week. I was also told I could change the locks of my home so my husband could not enter. That is not true. The locksmith said that he couldn't do it because my husband, still co-owning the house, could change them right back. I also expressed my fear of him, as he can be very intimidating and unstable. After that, he really started to harass me and my kids so I contacted her again on 12/6. She said I could have him send messages directly to her. He said he would not comply with this if there was no restraining order or divorce papers. I contacted her once again, asking if she could PLEASE send him the papers--no answer! On 12/19/17, I e-mailed her, terminating her services and requesting that my retainer be returned. On 12/20, I requested a confirmation of my termination e-mail. Today is 1/19/18 and I have still received no reply, nor have I received my retainer. My new lawyer said that she had still not filed the papers either. When I consulted with my new lawyer, I found out what a real lawyer sounds like--she actually had answers to my questions and provided me with guidance and advice. She made sure that things will progress in the correct order, due to my case having some additional legalities. If you care anything about winning your case, please re-read this information--it is exact and correct. I would have given 0 stars, if that had been a choice and may need my new lawyer to get my retainer back.

"I endorse this lawyer. Margery and I had a difficult case which we ultimately resolved through mediation/arbitration with a retired judge. Margery was always assertive for her client but courteous in her communication. Her client was very well served by her careful preparation and her persistent, strategic and articulate advocacy."

"I endorse this lawyer. Margery is a skilled litigator. She can be tough, but she is always professional and courteous.
